In his first appearance, the man known as Umaga shocked the WWE as he attacked and injured the legendary Ric Flair, putting him out of action for weeks. This past week on RAW however, the Nature Boy made his return and went right after the man who injured him just weeks earlier. Flair grabbed Umaga below the waistline, sending the Samoan into the arms of his manager outside the ring. Just moments later it was annonuced that Ric Flair will face Umaga this Sunday at Backlash, only on Pay-Per-View.

On May 19, 2003, Ric Flair faced Triple H for the World Heavyweight Championship. He didn’t win the championship that night. Still, after the match, the RAW locker room emptied as WWE Superstars joined the 16-time world champion, hoisting Flair on to their shoulders to honor him for his constant drive, desire and devotion to sports-entertainment.
